Purrsuasion is proudly owned by me, Tori Schlosser - a certified cat trainer, Métis woman, and dedicated cat advocate. I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, and I’ve surrounded myself with all things “cat” for as long as I can remember.
I grew up with a deep desire to improve the lives of cats. After some soul-searching, I decided to follow that passion. Today, I work to inspire people to understand what makes every part of their cats special, nurture confidence in their kitties, and show how respect and compassion can enhance every cat’s life. With that drive - and inspired by Jackson Galaxy, other cat trainers, and my beloved kitties, Riah and Siberia - I founded Purrsuasion in 2016. That was the start of my journey toward helping build the best possible bond between cats and their people.
I received my cat training certification from Animal Behavior College in April of 2018 and have continued to grow my business with that experience under my belt. I also achieved my Fear Free Certified Professional title in 2024.
I’m proud of the many cat-centered events I’ve co-hosted with Regina's Excalipurr Cat Café, being part of CBC's Blue Sky Radio Feline-Line, having the privilege of teaching students at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon about cat training, and the many other teaching opportunities I’ve had through various organizations. I’ve also been featured in numerous articles, including articles on the CBC website, inside the Globe and Mail, in the online magazine, Mental Floss, and on other blogs across the web.
